This Privacy Policy describes how Achille Giulio Grieco, acting as an individual developer, processes your personal data through the Oxygenate application. For all privacy-related matters and to exercise your rights under the GDPR, the Data Controller can be contacted at the following email address: oxygenateapp@gmail.com.
1. Data Controller
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws, the Data Controller is:

We collect the following data to provide you with the smoking cessation service:
- Account Data: When you sign in via Google or Apple, we collect your name and email address provided by these services.
- Smoking Habits (Health Data): Information regarding your daily cigarette count, start date, reasons to quit, and relapse triggers. This is classified as “Health Data” under Art. 9 GDPR and is processed only with your explicit consent.
- Usage Data: Progress metrics such as days smoke-free, money saved, and minigame activity within the app.
- Device Data: Technical information about your device and app usage for stability purposes.
3. Third-Party Processors
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase: Used for user authentication and data hosting. Your data is stored on Supabase servers (hosted in Ireland to ensure GDPR compliance). Refer to Supabase Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat: Used to manage our paywall. Revenuecat may process limited technical data to verify subscription status. Refer to RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
We do not use any third-party advertising tracking SDKs.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
- Performance of a Contract: Processing your Account Data is necessary to provide the core services of the app.
- Explicit Consent: Processing your Health Data (smoking habits/triggers) is based on your explicit, informed, and separate consent provided during onboarding.
- Legitimate Interest: Technical logs used solely for app stability are processed based on our legitimate interest in providing a functional application.
5. Data Retention
We store your personal data for as long as your account remains active. If you choose to delete your account, all your data, including your smoking history and health-related inputs, will be permanently deleted from our servers.
6. Your Rights
Under applicable law (including GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access/Portability: You have the right to request a copy of your personal data processed by us. To exercise this right, please send an email to oxygenateapp@gmail.com with the subject “Data Access Request.” We will provide your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format within 30 days of your request.
- Rectification: You have the right to request the correction of your personal data.
- Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Delete your account and all associated data at any time via the App Settings.
- Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., push notifications) in your App Settings. Note: withdrawing consent for core data processing will require the deletion of your account.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification.
If you continue to use the application after the new Privacy Policy has been published, you are deemed to have accepted the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you have the right to stop using the application and delete your account at any time.
8. Push Notifications
We may send push notifications to support your journey to quit smoking, including motivational messages, progress milestones, and encouragement tailored to your goals. Please note that the delivery of these notifications depends on your device settings, and you can enable or disable them at any time through your device’s notification preferences.
